School Books Grant 2024 / 2025:
You will be aware that the Government are extending the free schoolbooks scheme to all students in Junior Cycle from the commencement of the new school year 2024 / 2025. A separate letter will issue to all parents of students in our current 1st and 2nd year classes as well as to parents of students joining us as new intake 1st year students from August 2024. This letter will issue to parents on or before Friday 22nd March 2024 and will provide a detailed explanation for parents.
Importantly, the school will own all schoolbooks and resources which will be provided on loan to students.
Thursday 21st March 2024:
Thursday 21st March 2024 will be a non-uniform day. We invite all our students to come to school wearing their own clothes. We are requesting a contribution of €2 euro from every student. All students will receive a redeemable ticket on payment of €2 euro and at breaktime and lunchtime go to the main school office where they can exchange their ticket for an Easter egg. We will also be holding an Easter raffle with the prize of a very significant Easter egg on offer! €1 euro to enter.
All monies raised will go towards the Parents Association and they, in turn, will use these funds to provide prizes at our annual Sports day in May 2024.
We ask our student body to give generously.
Best wishes for Easter,
Dermot Lavin
