MATHS WEEK AT GORMANSTON COLLEGE
MONDAY 18TH - FRIDAY 22ND OCTOBER 2021
Maths week Ireland (16th - 24th Oct) is an all-island initiative and a partnership of institutions and groups promoting positive attitudes towards maths, highlighting the importance of maths in our lives. Here at Gormanston we are celebrating Maths week from Monday 18th - Friday 22nd October with lots of competitions and class activities for students.
Whole School Assembly celebrating Maths Week
On Tuesday morning the 19th October Principal Mr. Dermot Lavin held a whole school assembly on the Teams platform. The following 2nd year students participated in the presentation and talked about the the various types of employment that Maths plays an important role in. Very well done to:
Amy Brennan (Clann A), Eoin Crawford (Clann E), Lucca Flynn (Clann P), Scott Murphy Sweeney (Clann E) and Owen Obaro (Clann E). Thank you also to Clann Eanna Prefect, Sophie Barry, who spoke about what competitions will take place throughout the week.
