The school choir is a very important feature of the school community in Gormanston college. The choir performs at most school events, such as Graduation Ceremonies, Masses and themed Awareness Weeks.
It is comprised of many talented students who perform songs from a wide range of genres. The singers of the choir are accompanied by the band, who provide musical accompaniment on an assortment of instruments.
The choir and the band work hard, hand-in-hand, to perfect each song. They execute their songs to a very high standard, making it a very enjoyable occasion when the choir perform for the rest of the students and teachers of the college.
The choir is a very welcoming place which encourages students to learn and grow musically and build confidence through performance. There is room for any student interested to join, and it is a way to explore new music and meet new friends. The students, along with the teachers, help widen the repertoire of the choir with their own suggestions of songs to perform, reflecting their own personal styles as well as the theme of the school event they will be engaging in.
